"fi": "<p>Näyttelyssä on esillä veistoksia ja tekstilähtöisiä reliefejä. Reliefien lähtökohtana on kahden, joskus kolmen sanan yhdistelmät. Olen poiminut erilaisista kielipeleistä sanoja, jotka eivät inhimillisessä kielessä muuten kohtaa. Teoksissa olen laittanut yhteen esimerkiksi ajankohtaisia yhteiskunnallisia sanoja sekä ihmisen anatomian ja taidehistorian käsitteitä. Kokeilujen kautta syntyneistä sanapareista valitsin toteutettavaksi sellaiset yhdistelmät, joiden kautta aukesi uudenlaisia tapoja hahmottaa nykyaikaa. </p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Nestori Syrjälä työskentelee ekologisiin kriiseihin ja vaihtoehtoisiin tulevaisuuksiin liittyvien teemojen parissa käyttäen monipuolisesti eri medioita veistoksista performanssiin. Syrjälän teoksissa eriaineksiset, yhteiskunnalliset ja henkilökohtaiset aiheet liukenevat ja sekoittuvat toisiinsa. Viime vuosina Syrjälän teoksia on ollut esillä muun muassa Basel Social Clubissa, Kiasman kokoelmanäyttelyssä, Wäinö Aaltosen museossa sekä Ateenan Konservatoriossa.</p>\n",
"sv": "<p>Utställningen visar skulpturer samt textbaserade gipsreliefer. Utgångspunkten för relieferna är kombinationer av två, ibland tre ord. Jag har plockat fram olika ord bekanta från språkspel, som inte möts på andra sätt i det mänskliga språket. I verken har jag sammanställt t.ex. aktuella samhälleliga ord samt begrepp bekanta från människans anatomi och konsthistorien. Efter experiment med olika ordpar, valde jag att förverkliga sådana kombinationer som öppnade upp nya sätt att upptäcka samtiden.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Nestori Syrjälä arbetar med teman relaterade till ekologiska kriser och alternativa framtider och använder en mängd olika medier, från skulptur till performance. I Syrjäläs verk upplöses och blandas olika, sociala och personliga teman med varandra. Under de senaste åren har Syrjäläs verk ställts ut bland annat på Basel Social Club, Kiasmas samlingsutställning, Wäinö Aaltonens museum och Atens Konservatorium.</p>\n",

I have gathered words from various language games—words that would not otherwise encounter each other in human language. In the works, I have combined, for example, contemporary socio-political terms with concepts from human anatomy and art history. From the word pairs that emerged through experimentation, I selected for realization those combinations that opened up new ways of perceiving the present moment.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Nestori Syrjälä works on themes related to ecological crises and alternative futures, using a variety of media from sculpture to performance. In Syrjälä’s works, diverse, social and personal themes dissolve and blend into each other.
