"fi": "<p>Portti syvyyteen lepää metsän sylissä, olemisen juuriston alla.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Terhi Ekebomin näyttelyssä tutkitaan pinnan alaista ja maan sisäistä olemista puiden juuriston kautta. Herkät pleksiin kaiverretut syvyyden peilit ja keramiikkateokset yhdistyvät kokonaisuudeksi Sebastian Boulterin säveltämän juuriston äänen ja Leila Kourkian tanssin kanssa. </p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Ekebomin teoksissa käytetään kierrätettyä ja löydettyä materiaalia. Keramiikkateoksissa hän on sulattanut keräämäänsä särkynyttä lasia takaisin ehyeen muotoon. Särkymisen alta paljastunutta syvyyden hämärää tutkitaan myös pleksille kaiverretun valon viivaston kautta. Piirtäminen ja viivankäyttö yhdistää eri elementtejä.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Mutta mitä on syvyys, kuuluuko sinne edes katsoa?</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Kourkian kehon kautta kysymys syvyyden luonteesta fyysillistyy. Hän tekee avajaisissa tanssillisen performanssin, jossa liike heijastaa Terhi Ekebomin näyttelyn teemoja ja teoksissa käytettyjen materiaalien tuntuja.</p>\n",
"sv": "<p>Porten till djupet vilar i skogens famn, under tillvarons rotsystem.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Med hjälp av trädens rotsystem utforskar Terhi Ekebom en tillvaro under ytan och inuti jorden. De känsliga djupens speglar som graverats på plexiglas och keramikverken blir en helhet då de kombineras med ljudet av rotsystem som Sebastian Boulter komponerat och dansen som Leila Kourkia framför.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Ekebom gör sina verk av återanvänt och hittat material. Hon har smält ner hittade glasskärvor och gett dem enhetlig form som en delar av keramikverk. Genom att gravera ljuslinjer på plexiglas undersöker hon det djupets mörker gömmer sig bakom splittringen. De olika elementen förenas av tecknandet och användningen av linjer.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Men vad är djupet, och borde vi ens titta in i det?</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Frågan on djupets natur blir fysisk i och med Kourkias kropp. Under vernissagen gör hon en dansperformance, där rörelserna återspeglar utställningens teman och känslan av materialen som Ekebom använt i konstverken.</p>\n",
"en": "<p>The gateway into the depths rests in the embrace of the forest, beneath the roots of being.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Terhi Ekebom’s exhibition explores what lies beneath the surface and within the earth through tree roots. The delicate mirrors of depth engraved on plexiglass and the ceramic works create a coherent whole with the sound of the roots composed by Sebastian Boulter and Leila Kourkia’s dance.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Ekebom’s works make use of recycled and found materials. For her ceramic works, she has collected broken glass and melted it, making it unbroken again. The dimness of depth revealed through breakage is also explored through the lines of light engraved on plexiglass. Drawing and the use of lines connect the different elements.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>But what is depth – should we even look into it?</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Through Kourkia’s body, the question of the nature of depth becomes physical. At the opening, she will give a dance performance, in which movement reflects the themes of Ekebom’s exhibition and the feel of the materials used in the works.</p>\n"
