"en": "
Exhibition Description
\n
This series was created during the Haihara artist residency in Tampere with the support of the Tampere Artists’ Association and the international organization Artists at Risk. The project resulted in twelve paintings, united into a coherent artistic cycle. The series represents an authorial pictorial statement in which the beauty of Finnish nature intertwines with personal experience, memories, and the profound impact of the war in Ukraine. Vivid color solutions, unusual compositions, and contrasting forms convey not only the impressions of natural phenomena — the change of seasons, light and shadow, the movement of wind and water — but also reflect the artist’s inner world, where the harmony of nature enters into dialogue with the pain caused by violence and war. The war became a turning point that deeply transformed my perception of the world. Working on this cycle was a form of inner resistance to destruction, an act of spiritual healing, and a process of artistic therapy. Each color and each composition captures an emotional state, a resonance between the tragic experience of war and the quiet beauty of the northern landscape. The series carries a clear anti-war message: it serves as a reminder of the fragility of peace and the value of life, which war seeks to destroy. These works are not only a contemplation of landscapes but also an affirmation of the human right to harmony, hope, and a peaceful future. At the same time, the paintings address ecological concerns, highlighting the need to protect forests as unique living ecosystems. In this context, nature becomes a metaphor for survival and renewal — a symbol of what humanity must preserve. The series has been presented in several solo exhibitions, including at the AntiFestival (Kuopio, Finland), Imatra Art Week (Imatra, Finland), the Espoo Cultural Centre, Kannusali Gallery (Espoo), STEP-koulutus Gallery (Järvenpää), Luckan Grand Gallery (Porvoo), Lilla Villan Gallery (Sipoo), and the Aurora Gallery at the Aurora Cultural Centre (Espoo, Finland).
\n

\n
About the artist:
\n
Kateryna Harahulia born in Kharkiv, Ukraine in 1999 and studied at the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Fine Arts and the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture in Kyiv (Ukraine). "en": "

"en": "

"en": "

"en": "

"en": "

"en": "

"en": "

"en": "
